The individual chapters, written by experts in the field, provide an introduction to each topic, as well as describing recent research developments.

تمایزهای بین صنعت نفت و پتروشیمی
تمایزهای بین صنعت نفت و پتروشیمی :
1- در صنعت نفت با مواد اولیه ی ناخالص و با محصولات ناخالص به صورت مجموعه ای از ترکیبات سروکار داریم و شاید خلوص مواد و فرآورده ها به هیچ وجه مدنظر نباشد و در واقع با مخلوط هایی با خواص کلی سروکار داریم.
اما در صنعت پتروشیمی، مواد اولیه ی خالص مصرف می کنند و محصولات تولیدی نیز تا حد امکان باید خالص باشند و خالص سازی شوند. صنعت پتروشیمی پرهزینه تر و گران قیمت تر از صنعت نفت خواهد بود زیرا فرآیند خالص سازی محصولات بسیار هزینه بر است.
